“ Absolutely Delicious and Authentic Mexican Food! We had an amazing dining experience at Gordos. From the moment we walked in, the warm and vibrant atmosphere made us feel welcome. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. The food was outstanding—every dish was packed with flavor and beautifully presented. “ Spotted the review in The Observer some time back. Made a mental note to visit. Wanted to try somewhere different and fairly local. And what an excellent surprise. We were just trying the place out so went for the tacos sharer and some drinks. The presentation was excellent. The food was tasty and freshly prepared. The three proteins were distinct in flavour and texture, rather than all being seasoned in the same way. Everything felt like it was made with care. The member of staff who served us was very pleasant, and it’s a show of quality that everything was so good when the place was very quiet (we were very early for dinner on a weekday) – always a good sign with a restaurant. We’ll definitely be back to try more of the menu. ”

“ Went to Gordos with a few friends and we had a great time. The restaurant is colourful, the staff friendly and welcoming. The Mexican food is delicious and cooked in front of you. The atmosphere was fun and happy with music to match, that at once made me feel like I was on holiday and wanted to get up and dance. We had Tacos and for desert, I can't remember the name but it was an AMAZING milk cake. We had a great time and were really well looked after by the staff, thank you for a great night! ”
“ This place never fails to deliver quality at all levels. Their food is stunning and very very reasonably priced. The sharing taco platter with two drinks was 30 and was plenty enough for 2 people. The service was rapid and attentive but not overbearing. The whole place is really vibrant and well decorated. This is by far my favourite place in Guildford. ”

“ I normally review restaurants Gordos is more of a Mexican street food cafe than fine dining but it is good. I mean lip smacking good. Fantastic authentic Mexican food in a friendly noisy atmosphere with totally scrumptious food wine and cocktails. The staff are happy to explain the menu and offer suggestions just be a bit cautious of some of the on table sauces they certainly let you know they can kick ”
